Konoin Technical Training Institute is committed to producing highly skilled and innovative technicians capable of meeting the evolving demands of the modern industrial world. The Mechanical Engineering Department focuses on hands-on, competency-based training designed to develop creativity, safety consciousness, and technical excellence. Through close collaboration with industry partners, learners are exposed to real-world challenges and solutions relevant to Kenya’s growing manufacturing and engineering sectors.

Programmes Offered

The department offers comprehensive training programmes in:

  • Welding and Fabrication Technology
  • Mechanical Engineering Production Technology
  • Automotive Engineering Technology

All these programmes are structured from Level 4 to Level 6 under the national TVET framework.

The Automotive Engineering course features a dual training model, where students spend part of their training period in industry and the other part within the institution—gaining valuable hands-on experience and exposure to real-world work environments.

Mode of Delivery

Training is delivered through structured coursework, workshop practice, laboratory sessions, and industrial attachments.
